The Oldest Luxury Is Being Chosen

Walking past the windows.

There is a street in this photograph lined with things people save for. Glass cases, careful lighting, a price you have to work toward. She walks past it in a long coat, a hood resting on her collar, and a word on her chest that no shop on that street sells.

CHOSEN.

We put it there as a claim, not a slogan. Before you earned anything, bought anything or built anything, you were already picked.

The word underneath that claim is old. In Hebrew it is segullah, a treasured possession. In Exodus 19:5, God says His people will be His segullah among all peoples. In the ancient Near East, the word described a king's own private treasure, the wealth he kept close and personal rather than handing to ministers to manage.

That is where we start when we talk about luxury. Not the price tag, but the keeping.

The sleeve of the Chosen Since Infinity Hoodie carries the same thought in scripture: I am chosen to be holy and blameless in love, Ephesians 1:4. The Red Dot on every piece says the rest: redeemed, sealed, set apart.

So the photograph isn't about the shop windows. It's about the walk. Someone who knows she is kept doesn't have to turn around.

Season One is for the people who have spent too long trying to be picked. You already were.
